“Very nice place to stay!”
We're here for almost 6 weeks and can't complain! The staff is very friendly and helpfull, I you ever need anything, they always help when they can!
The new block that's been build is just amazing! The rooms are very nice and brand new and you have an amazing view on the lake as well!
We're staying in the old block, in the cheap rooms, they're very simple, but good enough for us!
The shower and toilets are always cleaned!
You can't do wrong by staying here while in Pokhara!

“Four months in The Lodge, stay of a lifetime.”
For my internship as a teacher trainer I chose to go to Pokhara, Nepal, where I would be staying at The Butterfly Lodge, run by the Pahari family, from February to May 2013.
When arriving, we were welcomed very warmly, the hospitality of the family and the staff is remarkable and, above all, sincere.
There’s the possibility to order breakfast, lunch and dinner from the menu which is based on Nepali cuisine but also offers some more general dishes such as French fries, continental breakfast, cheese balls, etc. The price of the food is very reasonable and, most importantly, delicious!
A hotel with a heart
-The Butterfly Lodge seems like a regular hotel. It has been open for over 35 years and has over 40 rooms with air conditioning, a TV and wi-fi. Yet the driving force behind the hotel is a man with a surprising social conscience who, rather than using the profits to buy himself a new car or a bigger house, is intent on using his good fortune to improve the lives of some of the poorest, most disadvantage people in his hometown of Pokhara, Nepal.
